Timothy J. Wallen
CEO, Principal
Tim joined MLG in 1989 as chief financial officer. In 2000, he assumed the role of chief executive officer. Tim is a principal, serves on the board of directors and is an officer for the MLG family of companies including MLG Capital, MLG Development, Advisors LLC, MLG Management and NAI MLG Commercial. As CEO, Tim remains committed and involved with integral functions of the investment and development segments including long-term and short-term business strategies, innovative concepts to debt financing and complex partnership structures. Tim directs the path of investment and development projects including acquisition, sales and marketing, investor recruitment and relations, residential and business park development and asset disposition. Tim also served as a board member of First Business Bank for three years.
Prior to joining NAI MLG Commercial, Tim was a tax manager with Price Waterhouse in San Francisco and Milwaukee where he specialized in income tax planning for partnerships and corporations in the real estate industry. In 1989, he transferred to the company’s Milwaukee office where he was promoted to the position of manager.
Tim has been instrumental in the acquisition of 6.6 million square feet of investment properties including over 4,000 apartment units in Texas and Florida and commercial properties in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Florida and Alabama. Under Tim’s direction, MLG’s 17 business park developments with over 3,000 acres in Wisconsin have set the precedent for creating high-value returns for investors and quality tax base for municipal partners. Tim has also provided leadership for MLG Communities, a developer of 43 residential communities in Wisconsin, Virginia and Florida. Under Tim’s leadership, MLG has the largest commercial brokerage operation in Wisconsin with over 70 licensed professionals. MLG also has a property management company with over 9 million square feet of properties managed including industrial, multi-family, office and retail.
